Accusations and reports of assault crimes, particularly spousal domestic violence between a husband and a wife, are increasing. At Dennis J. As a domestic violence case works its way through the system, a couple will sometimes attend counseling and reconcile. However, once charges are filed, the victim does not have a say in the case. The prosecution can still proceed with the charges, especially when a couple's past problems have featured multiple police calls.
